Huge challenges
Russia is the largest country in the world, covering nearly 13% of the earth’s inhabited land. But it is also a country that faces great economic challenges with 20 million Russians living below the poverty line.
Education has its limits
Because many families face financial hardship and live in remote locations, education opportunities, particularly in the creative arts, can be very limited for Russia’s youth. Many of them never leave the places they grew up.
Creative showcase
MTS’ Generation M is a big initiative with an even bigger mission. Part charity, part competition, part artistic development program, the Generation M platform gives Russian children from all walks of life the chance to showcase their creative skills on an unprecedented scale and work with the best the industry has to offer whilst also raising money for life-saving hospital treatments and bringing digital equality to the country.
Champions of Russia
#CaseForChange visited Russia to meet some of the many people whose lives have been changed by the project, from the young singing and fashion design winners to a little girl whose critical hospital treatments have been a direct result of other children’s participation in Generation M.
