One million children in Peru lack access to primary education, but mobile technology is helping ensure no child is being left behind in the 21st century classroom.
Creators Fatima and Daniela (@misiasperoviajeras) have traveled to the remote village of San Antonio del Estrecho to see how this technology can provide enjoyable learning for all – with one student loving their education so much they even wanted to get back to the classroom when on holiday.
Telefónica is bringing digital learning to the most remote part of the Amazon Rainforest, and it’s having a huge impact. The Fundacion Telefónica Mobile Classroom brings the latest innovative teaching methods to teachers, and gives students access to exciting educational resources. So far, they’ve brought a bright future to over one million students.
Making its way around the world, the Case For Change is packed with everything people need to tell their stories on what mobile operators globally are doing to tackle the UN 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Telefónica’s work in the Amazon Rainforest contributes to SDGs 4 and 9 by promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
